Getting Back to the Van

Last year was a bit of a wash out for the garden and the van. We did go to a few places in Trevor, but after failing his MOT in September we had to put everything on hold due to trying to get help with the work.

Not many mechanics like to work on an old van so we had to gather help from friends. We are still struggling with one teeny tiny side light that will just not work! So hopefully this week we might be able to get it to a garage who said they would take a look, to see if they can do what we can not, and get the bloody thing working 😂.

The garden last year was a no go, we had wanted to change it all round, but with Tony’s bad back and just a lack of chance to work on it, it didn’t happen.

So here are a few pictures from last year. We really didn’t get to do much in the van, as we went on other types of holidays too, but hopefully this year we can do a bit more.

Harlech & Shell Island

Trevor played Wedding Car for my wonderful friend, all dressed up in his ribbons for the day.

The Winking Man rock night:

In preparation for our next trip, where ever it may be, I’ve made some blinds this week for the small side windows that are above the bed which is over the cab. I have extremely poor sewing skills but it worked any way. I used just the hook side of the Velcro for it, as that part of the van has carpet on the side. So it t stays on nicely.

Once we get Trevor the Talbot back on the road, we will update you of our travels. Hopefully we we will have some gardening news as well so watch this space!

Take care all

Kiera & Tony
