On Friday 25th April we packed up Trevor the motorhome and drove over to Leek to The Winking Man pub, for their monthly rock night.

The Winking Man is located within the stunning Peak District National Park, right on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border. You’ll find it easily on the A53 between Leek and Buxton.

The Winking Man has a great reputation for good pub food, which you can see their menu online, (The Winking Man menu). They have lots of events on over the year including Northern Soul nights, Quiz Nights, The Country music and more, the full list of events can also be found on their website. (Winking Man Events)

The great thing about The Winking Man is that as long as you are going in the pub for a drink or food, you can stop over on the car park in your van. You can even camp out on the grass if you don’t have a van.

We packed up Trevor obviously packing the important things first 🤣.

We set off on the drive, which takes around about 45 minutes, and arrived at about 7pm.

Here are a few pictures from the night. It was a fairly quiet one this month, but it is usually pretty busy, attracting rockers from all over. Every one is so accepting so wear what ever you want because their are plenty of people rocking their amazing outfits!
