Hello all!
We are back. It has been a long time since we posted anything. We even went so far as to get rid of the website altogether. We had no time to work on the garden and lost focus on all the things we enjoyed like walking, foraging and enjoying nature. We decided we would start again get the website back up and running and start filling you all in on our progress and any projects we decide to do.
The garden looks a million times worse than it did when we initially started doing the website back in 2020. With many changes taking place, including Tony and myself working full time and Tony’s back further deteriorating, the garden became neglected. Our lovely vegetable garden is now just a tangle of weeds and briers. I have been given the opportunity to take some brief time out of work and it has given me the chance to reflect on what made us happy and this was one of the things that we really enjoyed and let slip.
We will be starting to bring the garden back to life and will be posting our progress as we work on fixing up the neglected space. We will also post about our adventures in Trevor the Motorhome, walks that we have enjoyed and recommend, food that we make and anything else that we think you would enjoy.
Catch up from 2024
Lady Heyes
In 2024 we took a overnight trip to Lady Heyes Caravan Park in Frodsham Cheshire. We went along with a group of friends and family to Lady Heyes and had a great night, especially as one of the pitches had a hot tub! It was harsh getting out of the tub with the weather still being cold in March, but worth it! There are other things to do close to the site. It has shops close by that are open in the day. There’s also a cafe if you fancy a cooked breakfast in the morning. We traveled in 3 Vans between us. Trevor’s layout makes it the best one for sitting in a group round the table. As you can see we made the most of the night with drinks and snacks.

Shell Island
We did our usual trip to Shell Island, in Llanbedr, for May Bank holiday. We will also be doing that again this year. For anyone who has never been, it is a great place to visit. You can drive around and pitch up/park up anywhere. This makes it ideal to go in a group. There is a supermarket and gift shop on site along with a pub and food hall. You are surrounded by the sea and on our first visit here we even saw dolphins in the bay.

Scotland Trip
In August we decided to take a trip to Scotland. We did not plan this out and we set off with just a few recommendations on where to stay. We followed the coast once we got to Gretna. We didn’t get to far up as we only had a week for the trip. We enjoyed some stunning views and stayed in some lovely places. We definitely need to do this again and have more time. This way, we can enjoy all that Scotland has to offer and not spend so much time driving.

Walks & Hikes
I have completed some stunning walks with a friend of mine. You may see her in future posts if she allows the pictures. I would like to post some walk/Hiking recommendations on this page too. Last year we did Shutlingsloe which is Macclesfield Forest. It was a killer on the old thighs. I am a little out of shape, so that could just be me. It felt like a great accomplishment to get to the top though.

We also completed The Roaches and Luds Church. You can complete one or the other. However, I was taken to them both on the same walk. It was around about 3 & half hours total for both. It nearly finished me off but I’m here to tell the tale. You will see some stunning views on both walks though.

That’s all the catch up I have for today. I hope you all stay tuned to see what we get up to going forward.
Its good to be back!
